Wally Boughton

Wally Boughton, the founder and president, died in 1993 of ALS. The firm foundation he laid has allowed the company to remain family owned and operated, proudly dedicated and committed to keeping customer satisfaction as their primary focus.

Boughton Materials, Inc.,a family owned and operated business, has been supplying aggregate products and outstanding customer service since 1973. The Company started with the vision and leadership of Wally Boughton. Wally began servicing the construction industry by excavating foundations in the communities of Plainfield and Naperville.  As the communities grew, so did Wally's vision. Recognizing the increased demand, he began a sand and gravel operation which quickly emerged to become a leading producer of aggregate products in the area. The Companies' continued growth lead to the addition of a second limestone operation in 1986.  This expansion allowed the production of more products to better service the surrounding communities.

Boughton Materials, Inc. has been a proud member of the local community and the surrounding communities for over 40 years. We have supplied aggregate material for the building of numerous projects throughout Naperville, Plainfield, and the Chicagoland area. These projects include residential homes and subdivisions, municipalities and public works, highway departments, water districts, park districts, schools and colleges, commercial projects, retail stores and centers, medical facilities and hospitals, distribution and warehouse facilities, parking lots, roads and railroad projects, industrial facilities, utilities, sewer and water projects, churches, recreational projects, athletic facililties including Wrigley Field, golf courses, landscaping projects, and small projects by individual homeowners.

At the present, the company has supplied over 65 million tons of aggregate products throughout the surrounding area. With an experienced workforce, service second to none, an excellent safety record, competitive prices, and millions of tons of aggregate in reserve, the company will continue to meet the growing needs of our customers and the community.
